Your day-to-day will include:
- Maintenance, repair, modification, and fault diagnosis of injection mould tools
- Hands-on work with manual centre lathes, milling machines, surface grinding, and universal grinding
- Supporting production with hot runner systems, including strip-downs and fault finding
- Diagnosing tooling issues directly on the shop floor and implementing effective, lasting fixes
- Tool improvements to enhance reliability, cycle time, and part quality
- Completing planned toolroom work when breakdowns are under control
- Working safely, accurately, and methodically at all times
This is a low-supervision environment. You’ll be expected to manage your workload sensibly, prioritise tasks, and keep things moving without being chased.
