Quality Manager
North West | £50,000 + Benefits
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on Quality Manager role within a well-established plastics manufacturer supplying into food and FMCG, where standards are expected and maintained properly rather than managed for appearance.
You’ll already understand injection moulding and what good looks like in a regulated environment, and more importantly you’ll know how to maintain those standards when production pressure is on.
BRC is embedded into the way the site operates, not treated as a one-off exercise, so if you’ve been through audits and understand what it takes to maintain compliance day-to-day, this will feel like a natural fit.
The Role
As Quality Manager, you’ll take ownership of site quality performance, working closely with Production, Maintenance and Technical to ensure standards are maintained and continuously improved.
- Managing and developing the Quality Management System, including documentation, traceability and internal audits.
- Leading BRC audit preparation and customer audits, ensuring compliance is maintained.
- Investigating non-conformances, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.
- Working with production teams to improve processes, reduce waste and maintain consistent product quality.
- Training and supporting staff on quality standards and procedures.
- Monitoring and reporting on quality KPIs to senior management.
- Driving a culture where quality is owned on the shop floor, not just within the quality function.
About You
- Previous experience as a Quality Manager within injection moulding or plastics manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of BRC standards, ideally with direct audit involvement.
- Confident communicator, able to influence and engage across all levels.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the wider operational picture.
- Practical, hands-on approach focused on improving systems and resolving issues.
The Package
-
- Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Pension and additional benefits.
- Long-term opportunity within a stable and growing manufacturing business.
