Quality Manager
North West | £50,000 – £55,000 + Benefits
We’re looking for a Quality Manager to join a leading plastics manufacturer supplying into the food and FMCG sectors, overseeing site quality systems and driving standards forward.
You’ll already know your way around injection moulding, and you’ll understand what BRC compliance looks like in a plastics manufacturing environment—ideally, you’ve been involved in BRC audits before.
This is a hands-on role in a business that values doing things properly rather than just ticking boxes. You’ll work with production, maintenance and technical teams to make sure product quality consistently meets customer expectations while keeping systems and processes tight.
What you’ll be doing as Quality Manager:
-
Managing and maintaining the site’s Quality Management System, including documentation, traceability, and internal audits.
-
Leading BRC audit preparation and customer audits, ensuring the site meets and maintains required standards.
-
Investigating non-conformances, analysing root causes and driving corrective actions.
-
Working with production teams to improve processes, reduce waste, and maintain consistent product quality.
-
Training and supporting staff on quality standards and procedures.
-
Monitoring and reporting on quality KPIs to senior management.
What we’re looking for as a Quality Manager
-
Previous Quality Management experience in injection moulding or plastics manufacturing.
-
Understanding of BRC requirements (and ideally direct BRC audit involvement).
-
Confident communicator, able to engage with production teams and customers.
-
Eye for detail but also the ability to step back and see the bigger picture.
-
Practical, hands-on approach with the drive to improve systems and product quality.
The package:
-
Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience
-
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
-
Pension and additional benefits
-
Opportunities to develop your career in a stable, growing business.
