The Opportunity for Injection Mould Setter / Technician
5S Recruitment is working with a well-established plastic injection moulding manufacturer looking to add an experienced Injection Moulding Setter / Moulding Technician to their technical team.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment, suited to someone who understands what good looks like on the shop floor and can consistently deliver stable, efficient processes.
If you’re confident with tool changes, process optimisation and keeping machines running right first time, this is a solid opportunity within a stable business.
The Role of Injection Mould Setter / Technician

You’ll be responsible for supporting production through effective machine setting, process control and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Carrying out tool changes and colour changes across injection moulding machines.

Starting up machines and establishing stable processes before handing over to production.

Supporting new product trials, sampling and process validation.

Optimising moulding processes to improve cycle times, efficiency and output.

Monitoring product quality and making process adjustments where required.

Minimising scrap and maintaining consistent moulding performance.

Maintaining strong housekeeping standards across the mould shop.

Working closely with production and management to meet tool change schedules.

Providing clear and accurate shift handovers.

Following health and safety procedures and contributing to ongoing improvement activity.
About You
-
Previous experience as an Injection Moulding Setter, Moulding Technician or Process Technician.

Strong working knowledge of injection moulding machines and tooling changes.

Experience within a manufacturing or plastics production environment.

Good communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Ideally have your own transport due to shift pattern and location.
