Injection Moulding Setter / Moulding Technician

- Monday – Friday | Rotating Shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)
5S Recruitment is working with a well-established plastic injection moulding manufacture, who are looking to recruit an experienced Injection Moulding Setter / Moulding Technician to join their technical team.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on injection moulding experience, strong knowledge of tool changes and process optimisation, and the ability to support production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out tool changes and colour changes on injection moulding machines
- Start up machines and ensure stable moulding processes before handing over to production.
- Support new product sampling and trials.
- Optimise moulding processes to improve cycle times and production efficiency.
- Monitor product quality and carry out process adjustments where required.
- Minimise scrap and maintain consistent moulding performance.
- Maintain high 5S and housekeeping standards within the mould shop.
- Work closely with production and management teams to ensure tool change schedules are met.
- Provide clear and accurate shift handovers.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as an Injection Moulding Setter, Moulding Technician, or Process Technician.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection moulding machines and tooling changes.
- Experience working within manufacturing or plastics production environments.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ideally own transport due to shift pattern and location.
