Maintenance Engineer
£20.00 per hour + Benefits

About the Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the operations team, ensuring the efficient and effective running of all onsite equipment, including automation systems. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, teamwork, and a commitment to preventative and routine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and respond promptly to equipment faults.
- Ensure all automation systems are operating efficiently by conducting regular inspections and fault diagnosis.
- Implement unplanned repairs and resolve equipment issues swiftly.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to design and execute a preventative maintenance plan.
- Work with specialist equipment, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Oversee the installation of new machinery and support automation projects.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working area in line with company Health and Safety guidelines.
- Adhere to the company’s health and safety policies, ensuring all tasks align with risk assessments and work instructions.
Desired Skills and Experience
We are looking for candidates who bring a proactive work ethic, strong technical abilities, and a results-driven attitude.
- Proven experience in mechanical and hydraulic maintenance.
- Electrical maintenance knowledge.
- Familiarity with injection or compression moulding machinery (ideal but not essential).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal staff and external suppliers.
- A problem-solver who constantly seeks to improve systems and processes.

- Hourly Rate: Circa £20.00 per hour.
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (42.5 hours per week).
- Holiday Allowance: 28 days per annum (including bank holidays).
- Pension Contribution: Employer contributes 3%.
