Injection Moulding Technician / Processing Expert

5S Recruitment is working with an established injection moulding manufacturer seeking a technician with genuine processing expertise. This role goes beyond mould changes and machine start-ups. You will take ownership of process stability, part quality and cycle performance across a varied moulding operation.
The Injection Moulding Technician / Processing Expert will:
- Establish and maintain robust process windows.
- Troubleshoot defects using a sound understanding of materials, melt flow, shrinkage and cooling.
- Optimise cycles while protecting quality and consistency.
- Support new product introduction, trials and process validation.
- Identify causes of scrap and put lasting improvements in place.
- Work closely with production and quality colleagues in a tight-tolerance environment.
You will need substantial hands-on injection moulding experience and the confidence to explain why a process is behaving as it is. Experience with engineering polymers, hot runners and valve gates would be particularly relevant.
