We are delighted to be representing a reputable plastics and rubber manufacturing company currently seeking a skilled Injection Mould Setter to join their dedicated production team at their Kidlington site. Responsibilities
- Plan ahead for production changes by ensuring they have all the relevant tools, materials and equipment for the next change over
- Safely shut down machines at the end of their production runs ensuring all Safe Systems of Work (SSOW’s) are followed
- Safely remove moulds from machines and return to appropriate safe place
- Remove all materials not required for the next job and ensure adequate materials are available for the upcoming run
- Safely install the tool for the next run and confirm completion of all installations
- Accurately report on daily performance sheets
- Lead by example in the delivery of all work to encourage positive business growth
- Maintain production quality levels and maximise machine uptime
- Process production runs to standard setting requirements, producing products to First Off standards
- Optimise processes to achieve or exceed target cycle times and cavitation
- Ensure machines are set in a clean, safe, and organised manner for production
- Set machine parameters with appropriate tolerances for consistent quality and safety
- Update performance monitoring systems with accurate data to validate production
- Respond promptly to machine issues, resolving quality, uptime or safety concerns
- Investigate opportunities for process improvements such as SMED, TPM, and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workloads
- Complete weekly IMM fitness for use checks and ensure all documentation is accurately maintained
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter with a solid background in injection moulding processes
- Formal qualifications in Injection Moulding Setting and Processing
- Experience operating cranes, lifting, slinging, and PPT
- Excellent communication skills at all levels—shop floor and management
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a flexible, approachable manner
- IMT qualification is advantageous
